E Mau Nā Ala Hele ("E Mau") is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1979
and based on Hawai'i Island. Our efforts are focused on perpetuating and preserving our island's
ancient and historic trails. We have over one hundred members both from our island home and from

Notice!!  Annual Meeting will be held this year beginning at 10am on March 29th at the
pavilion at Samuel M. Spencer Beach County Park at ʻŌhaiʻulu Beach. The business meeting will
include reports of the past year’s activities including the shoreline advocacy work in Kohala,
election of officers and Board of Directors, and planning of events for the rest of 2014.
Following
the business meeting there will be a presentation of the 2013 Douglas Tom Thumbs-Up Award to E
Mau
, a silent auction of the original art and one print of the image on our Puna Trail t-shirt by
Christina Ahia. We will have a potluck lunch (please bring a dish to pass and your drink), and an
afternoon activity that will get you out stretching your legs after the morning meeting. Please join
us for a fun-filled day, watch for whales, and help firm up plans for the year ahead! Please check
