Lā Hoʻāla Ala HeleYou are invited to join us on October 19, 2025 for a day to reawaken one of our historic Hawaiian trails in Kona, the Kohanaiki-Kaloko “Trail to Sea Coast.” In 2004 our County Council passed a resolution designating a day in October as Lā Hoʻāla Ala Hele or “Trail Reawaken Day.” Since then, we have been observing this special day in various ways.
On October 19, we plan to restore the rock alignment of the trail portion in the Kauhale I Ke Kula Uka affordable housing project and beautify the trail area by hand-weeding in and around the trail. Many hands will make the work lighter and faster! Your kōkua will be greatly appreciated! |

Bring: Hat, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, gloves, covered shoes, brown bag lunch.
